JNC provides a base for the various Specialist Outreach Services listed below:

Creditline Financial Counselling

Offers help and planning relating to: Financial counselling to assist people with debt problems by providing information, advice and negotiation with creditors. This service is available every Friday from 9am to 4.30pm at The Junction Neighbourhood Centre. Appointments essential, please call Credit Line on (02) 9951 5544

Kingsford Legal Service

Provides confidential, free legal advice to people who live, work or study in Randwick and Botany areas. Legal issues covering: discrimination, money problems, unfair dismissal, trouble with police, car accidents, domestic violence, harrassment etc. This service is available Thursday evenings from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at The Junction Neighbourhood Centre. Eastern Area Tenants Service

EATS is a free service for private or public tenants, as well as boarders and lodgers in the local council areas of Woollahra, Waverley, and Randwick. This service is available at JNC fortnightly, Thursdays from 2 to 4:30pm. Ring (02) 9349 8200 for an appointment.

Australian Hearing Services

Australian Hearing Clinic

Australian Hearing provide hearing services at JNC on Mondays & Tuesdays from 9am to 4:30pm. Technician services (repairs, batteries etc) are also available on Tuesdays from 1pm to 4.30pm. To make an appointment please contact Australian Hearing on 131 797 or call into The Junction Neighbourhood Centre or phone us on 9349 8200 and we can assist you to make an appointment. NOTE: Hearing aid battery replacement for Australian Hearing clients available Mon- Fri at JNC reception.

Eligibility for Australian Hearing Services:
Anyone can have a hearing check but to receive other hearing services you must meet the following eligibility criteria: Pensioner concession card holders Veterans gold or white card holders Sickness Allowance recipients CRS Clients / Defence Forces Children to 21 years Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders 50 years and over.

Hearing Services Vouchers:

All eligible clients of Australian Hearing must submit an Application for a Hearing Services Voucher to The Office of Australian Hearing. You will be sent this application when making an appointment with Australian Hearing or you can pick one up at The Junction Neighbourhood Centre.

Tax Help Program

Tax Help volunteers, trained by the Australian Tax Office, are available every year from August to October to assist with simple tax returns ie. earnings must be less than $35,000. Contact JNC to make an appointment during tax period.
Outside tax periods contact The ATO on 132 861.

Community Settlement Services

Indonesian Welfare Association Inc. (IWA)

Community Settlement Worker available at JNC every Wednesday 9am - 4.30pm Assistance with immigration, legal aid, education, housing, social security and other needs for Indonesian speaking migrants. Contact JNC Wednesdays or IWA on 9744 1866

SLASA (Spanish & Latin American Social Assistance Services)

Providing services for the Eastern Suburbs every Tuesday from 9.30am to 4.30pm. SLASA provides information about health, employment, education, immigration, housing, legal issues, English Classes, individual casework, information sessions, workshops and other activities. For an appointment ring (02) 9349 8200.

Immigration Officer

Free immigration advice available fortnightly on Tuesdays from 1pm to 3pm. The agent is Spanish speaking. For an appointment ring (02) 9349 8200.

A new immigration officer who speaks Mandarin and Cantonese is available on Thursday afternoons. For an appointment ring (02) 9349 8200.
